3-Year Guarantee - Installation & Workmanship

Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of handyman services by Louis Murphy & subcontractors trading as Stroud Handyman (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Services

We provide general handyman services, including repairs, maintenance, and minor installations as agreed upon at the time of booking. All work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

3. Quotations and Payment

  • All quotes are based on the information provided at the time and may be subject to change if additional work is required.

  • Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We reserve the right to charge for any additional materials or labour not included in the original quote.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must ensure access to the property at the agreed time.

  • You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, permits, or approvals.

  • You must inform us of any known issues that may affect the work (e.g., structural problems, hazardous materials).

5. Workmanship Guarantee

We guarantee our workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of completion.

This guarantee covers:

  • Defects arising directly from the quality of our workmanship.

This guarantee does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third parties

  • Issues arising from materials supplied by the customer

  • Pre-existing conditions or underlying structural problems

If a valid claim is made within the guarantee period, we will, at our discretion, repair or rectify the defective workmanship at no additional labour cost.

6. Materials

Unless otherwise agreed, materials will be supplied by us. While we aim to use quality materials, manufacturer warranties apply separately and are not covered under our workmanship guarantee.

7. Liability

  • We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control.

8. Cancellations

  • Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice.

  • We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if insufficient notice is given.

9. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue promptly.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available upon request or on our website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
